Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.- Hippocrates

Bling Bling!

Delaney found some adorable unicorn earrings at Silver Dollar City. One problem- her ears are not pierced. So, we decided that we would get them pierced while we were there. She picked out these lovely pink flower earrings.

Vacation!

We were gone all last week on vacation. We took a short trip to Branson, Missouri. We spent some time there last fall and the kids loved it. They love that we get to stay in a log cabin. We stay at Bavarian Village.

We went to Silver Dollar City, Presidential Museum, Dinosaur Museum, Dinosaur Golf, and visited the Titanic Gift Shop once again.

We went fishing but the kids were just not that interested.

The Village has a swimming pool so the kids spent most evenings there.

We had fun but are glad to be home and able to rest some.

People should know what you stand for. They should also know what you won't stand for.

Avalanche Ranch

The kids attended Vacation Bible School this week. Joshua has been very disciplined in completing his daily assignments. I like to arrive early to pick them up and watch them worship God.

We found her!!

Joshua has always been inquisitive about his birth mother. He has even sat down without prompting and written a letter to her. We had talked about waiting until he was older and ask him if he wanted to search for her.

With the recent contact with Delaney's birth family, we felt we really need to look into finding his family for him. We felt that the sooner we did so, the better luck we would have of finding her.

We hired a private investigator in Ukraine and we found out this week that they located her. They said that the meeting went well and that she was very nice and inviting.

We will receive a full report about the meeting in about 30 days. We should receive a picture of her before then.

Joshua is very excited to learn more about his birth family.

Bubble Time

The kids received these Bubble Makers from Aunt Piper and Aunt Toby. They make a ton of bubbles. The kids really enjoyed them

Joshua's Hearing

Joshua had his annual hearing test. Praise God, his hearing is stable!

Angel to the rescue!

Have you ever had a bad day and were at your wits end. I had one of those days last Friday. We had to go to Joshua's eye exam and waited 20 minutes past Delaney's patience to get in to be seen. She was a hand full.

After the appointment,I had to make a trip to Wal-Mart on limited time as I need to get home and get ready for work. I was reaching high anxiety when out of the blue, a friend from church appeared. She gave me a hug and took the kids to the game room to play.

It was no coincedence that she was there. She was my saving grace. I do believe in God and I do believe in Angels on Earth

Happy 5th Birthday Delaney!!

It is hard to believe my baby girl is 5 years old. It is really hard to believe that she will be in school full time in a month.

She is such a sweetie yet such a determined child. We love her so much!

Fourth of July

The kids stayed at their grandparents for several days after the family reunion and then returned home on July 4th. They had fun at their grandparents. They went to Chuck E. Cheese and went to Ratatoullie.

We had a small family birthday party for Delaney on the 4th. We had family and friends over and had fireworks. We really enjoyed the nice little get together.

Family Reunion

On June 30th, we went to Paul's family reunion. I hadn't been to one in a couple of years so it was nice to see everyone again. There are a lot of new little kids running around :).

We were in Chanute, Kansas and it was in threat of flooding. The building we had the event in was underwater by the end of the day. Several towns we drove through are now being helped by FEMA for flooding. This rain has been crazy!!!
