Tea Party!

Here is the picture from the Tea Party that I posted about earlier.
Doesn't Delaney look beautiful!!

Family Reunion

We went to Chanute last weekend in celebration of Father's Day and June Birthdays.

Eastern European Weekend

Eastern European weekend was last week. We taught the kids about the holidays in Eastern Europe (focusing on Russia, Romania, Ukraine and Kazakhstan).

The kids had a great time. I even overheard "I want to come to this again!"

This year we had a pre-teen group that spoke to the children about their identities based on their birh family and adoptive family.

See the slide show under the header for pictures.

1st day complete

We took a picnic lunch to the park and then went on to enroll the kids for the Tulsa County Library Summer Reading Program.

Here are some pictures from the Park.

LUCK Y GIRL!

Delaney has found around 6 four leaf clovers in the last couple of weeks. How does she do it? She is either lucky or has a good eye.

Last week, I was called out to the bus by the bus driver. I was told that I needed to call poison control because Delaney had eaten a four leaf clover.

I guess one sweet brother had told her that if she ate it then she would be lucky! Nice Joshua!

Well, it is not poisonous but may cause diarrhea. I hope we at least provided a good laugh for the poison control center!

Got Milk?

SUMMER IS HERE!!!

First thing the kids wanted to do when they woke up on their first day of summer break.

Parties, Parties, and more...

We went to a going away party for my friend, Melissa.

She and her family are moving to the Houston area next weekend. I am really going to miss them. We were hoping to visit them while on vacation in July but they are going to be out of town at that time. I love Melissa's spirit, she has never met a stranger!

We went to Gracee's birthday party the next day. Delaney had a great time playing on the water slide.

Later that day was the year end soccer party for the Eagles. It was a swim party at the Boys and Girls club.

The next evening was Aubrey's birthday party. Delaney had actually fallen asleep before the party and I really thought about just letting her sleep since we were all worn out by Sunday evening. I did get her to finally wake up and she had a blast. The girl is such a social butterfly!

CELL PHONE vs. BIBLE

CELL PHONE vs. BIBLE

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our
cell
phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm..where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about
our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities?

And no dropped calls!

Photos

Here are a sampling of the photos I have been taking with the new camera.

It amazes me how much clearer the MOPS rose is. Of course, it is a little more wilted at this point.

New Toy

After becoming quite envious of the photos on the blog: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, I decided to upgrade to a better camera. I found out what she uses and bought one for myself. I hope that it is idiot proof and my photos come out as beautiful and clear as hers.

So... Now you will have to put up with tons and tons of photos on this blog. I love looking at photos. Maybe there is a photographer buried deep down in me somewhere.

I am going to sign up for a photo plan on dotphoto.com so I can store some of my photo albums there. If you are interested in seeing the photos and maybe ordering from them. let me know and I will give you the permission to access them.
